The Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst was established on October 23, 1931.
Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Since 1931, the men and women of the Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst have contributed to the well-being of our community by giving time and financial support to scores of charities, cultural and educational programs and needy children and their families.
The Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst is a member of "Division 9" which includes other clubs: Addison, Central DuPage, Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, Lisle, Lombard, Villa Park, West Chicago and Wheaton. Division 9 is in the I.I. District which includes clubs in Illinois and Eastern Iowa.
The Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst membership has traditionally consisted of leaders from all segments of the community. These individuals have chosen to apply their leadership skills to Kiwanis at the club, divisional and district levels including six decades with at least one Division Lt. Governor.
Members of our club have received numerous awards and recognitions. Those awards include The Amador Medallion, The Hixon Award and The Legion of Honor.
Kiwanis Young Children "Priority One" provides a focus on the needs of young children with programs for:
